Obituary
Albert C. Raines, age 73, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side and went home to be with the Lord Sunday morning, February 21, 2016 after a brief illness.Albert loved the Lord and loved going to Mount Zion Baptist Church. Albert loved his family dearly and treasured the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Margaret Raines; his brothers Johnny, Jeeter, Jay, and Estel Raines, and his great-grandchildren Sydney Miller, Maddison and Karoline Miller, and Baby Moore.He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Rosemary Raines; his children, Lisa (Jeff) Miller, Homer Harold Hunt, all of Newport, Steven (Jenny) Hunt of Jonesborough, and Jamie (Brad) King of Newport; his grandchildren Brandi (Tim) Moore of Morristown, Jonathan (Stephanie) Miller of Dandridge, Azaleigh Hunt of Jonesborough, and Georgia Gail King of Newport; his great-grandchildren Sara Miller of Dandridge, Chance Moore of Morristown, and Akeira Spurgeon of Dandridge; his sisters and brothers-in-law Anna Lou (Zane) Almany, Virginia (Roger) Ball, Wanda (George) Shephard, and Donna Jean (Kenneth) Atkins, all of Newport; as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends and his beloved cat, Tom.Special thanks from the family to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice of Newport, TN and to Nathan Manning of Brown's Funeral Home.
