Mr. Allen S. Brown's Obituary
Mr. Allen Scott Brown, age 75, of Newport, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 25, 2021 at his home.
He attended Riverview Baptist Church. He was a Veteran who proudly served twenty-three years in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents Winfield S. Brown and Willie Mae Price Brown, sister Linda Brown Green and brother Daniel Brown.
Survivors include his wife Louise Brown of the home, daughter Tabitha Brown of Grassy Fork, step-children Terri Ball (Austin Bryant), John (Regina) Ball and Carol (Dayton) Livingston all of Cosby, grandchildren William Hawk, Nichole Gray, Robbie Livingston, Elizabeth Livingston, Ashley Ball and Nicholas Ball, 13 great grandchildren, sisters Rose (Wayne) Coffman of Kingsport, Kathy Laws and Deborah Brown both of Grassy Fork, brother William Brown of Grassy Fork, sister-in-law Martha Black and brother-in-law Rev. James Hance both of Newport. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Green-Price-Raines Cemetery with Pastor Tim Grooms officiating. Military honors will be provided by the East Tennessee Honor Guard and Newport American Legion Post 41 Honor Guard. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the cemetery prior to the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Feed My Sheep Ministeries, 125 C Avenue, Newport, TN 37821.
In consideration of the health and safety of all those attending the service, Costner-Maloy strongly encourages that all CDC guidelines be followed, including the use of face masks.
