Mr. Andrew Jackson "JR" Chandler, Jr., age 65, of Hot Springs, NC, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
Mr. Chandler attended Tennelina Church of God. He was a former employee of American Greetings. He was a loving and generous person who loved the outdoors and gardening. He was a happy man.
He was preceded in death by his parents Martha Chandler and Andrew Chandler, Sr.
Survivors include his wife Mary Chandler and daughter Stacey Chandler both of the home, sisters Nancy Greene (Junior) of Hot Springs, Betty Weems (Bud) of Greeneville and Shirley Chandler of Marshall, special sister-in-law Charlene Holt of Hot Springs, brothers-in-law Bill Holt of Del Rio, Harold Holt and Don Holt both of Parrottsville. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews cousins and friends including "best friend and gardening buddy" Jack Spratt of Maryville.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Dobson officiating. The family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Friday at Paint Rock Cemetery in Hot Springs for the 11:00 a.m. interment. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Costner-Maloy prior to the funeral service.
