Barbara was a gracious and generous woman. As she was to me, I know she was a blessing to so many.
Warm memories of late night elections, traveling the state for our candidates, lots of hugs and smiles along the way. Barbara was a delighful woman. Though it seems trite to say, she is very missed. She was just always there with me whenever Republican functions were held. Our sincerest sympathy goes to the family.
I am so sorry for your loss, Mr.McAndrew. Mrs. McAndrew taught me so much my first year working next to her as JCHS guidance counselor. She also showed me "the ropes" of how to do the yearbook. She filled in for me for a full semester when my son was ill; I knew everything would be well taken care of when I returned in the fall. She was an amazing woman who will be missed by many.
Y. J. and Family: Mrs. McAndrew was my guidance at Maury High School. She was very helpful to me when my father was killed and my mother was hospitalized. It was my pleasure to have worked with her when I was Republican Party chairperson in Jefferson County. It was also my pleasure to serve with her on the Dandridge Regional Planning Commission. She was a true lady in every meaning of the word.
I was a student of Mrs. McAndrews at Maury High School. I'm sorry to hear of her passing. She certainly was a good influence to myself and a lot of others. God bless.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time of sorrow. Barbara was loved by many, she was an asset to our community and she was a great friend. While she is deservedly recognized for her Republican passion, we should commit to memory that Barbara was always a real lady. She exhibited kindness, courteousness, and gracefulness throughout her life. She was an inspiration to all and a true example of God's light. She will be sadly missed by those of us who's lives she has touched and she will always be remembered for her beautiful ways.
