Obituary
Beverly Denton Downs, age 62, of Newport, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Lennie Denton and brother, Sammy Denton.
She is survived by her son, Trae Scott (Christina) Sweeten, step brother. Jerry Epley, step sister, Christine Denton, aunts, Sandra Lawson. Molly (Robert) Mitchell, Dorothy “Woop” McNabb, uncle, Benny Cline, cousins, Mallory Cline, Craig Lawson, Marie Lawson, Robert C. Mitchell, Ginger Mitchell, nieces and nephews, Darlene Sammie Jo Denton Laws and Stephen Dodge, great niece, Aaliyah Denton Laws, great nephews, Zachariah Scott Dodge and Stephen Jaiden Dodge, friends, Connie and David Stratton, Sharron Brady, and best friends, Larry and Kathy McCarter.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 11:00am at Union Cemetery with Pastor Robert Mitchell officiating.
