Obituary
Mr. Bobby Eugene “Gene” Sane, age 75, of Newport, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 at his home.
He was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Cosby Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father Willy; mother Georgia; siblings James, Jesse, Dayton, Frida and Ella Mae and great granddaughter Marissa.
Survivors include his daughter Melissa; grandchildren Alyssa and Joey; great granddaughter Skylar; son Michael; grandchildren Candice and Corey. Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews and loving friends Bonnie and Mike Sanford.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at East TN State Veteran Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by Newport American Legion Post 41. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. at the cemetery prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home.
