Mr. Calvin Coolidge Henderson's Obituary
Mr. Calvin Coolidge Henderson, age 95, of Newport, passed away October 16, 2019.
He was the last surviving child of eight.
He retired from TN Department of Transportation after 30 years of service. He also farmed and for several years was employed by Food City East, where he delighted many customers with his gifts of produce from his garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives Margaret, Evie Shetley, and Lela, son Cecil Henderson, and his siblings..
He is survived by his children: John Henderson of Ashburn, VA, Phillip Henderson of Gallatin, TN, and Helen Pierce of Newport; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2019, in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Jonestown Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home prior to the service.
