My thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Hood, her husband. Your wife, sir, was the finest of women. I am disabled and Dr. Hood came to my house to help me with my dogs. One day, the last day for two of my wonderful pets they were in such pain they broke out of the fenced yard and went down the mountain. Dr. Carol Hood went right down after them - all the way to the bottom of a ravine or holler and released my little Suzie from her earthly trials. Then Dr. Hood buried Suzie on the mountain. God bless you Dr. Hood. And God bless your husband and all that loved you.

We owe so much to Dr.Carol Hood. For her help,kindness , true love and compassion she gave to our pets and us. She was the one we trusted as a Vet for our pets at first but then we looked at her as a friend. Our hearts will be forever thankful for the hugs and concern she shown during the sickness and passing of our pets. We also remember the joy she shown when all went well. We could only wished to live life as gracious and full as she had. If any one person ever danced ( as the song says) We'd say "She Danced" and with a SMILE! Love Always To Her and Her Family! Heaven has definitely gained an angel. I have had the opportunity to know Carol through volunteering at the Newport Animal Shelter and working with her at the RAM Clinics and assisting her at several rabies clinics. I have always had great admiration for this lady and her devotion to the welfare of all animals. She will be missed by many but her legacy will live on for a very long time.
