Mrs. Cathy Darlene Laws' Obituary
Mrs. Cathy Darlene Brown Laws, age 73, of Grassy Fork, passed away Monday morning, May 8, 2023 at Newport Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by he husband Rufus Laws; parents Winfield Scott and Willie Mae Brown; sister Linda Lee Brown Green and brothers Scott Brown and Danny Brown.
Survivors include her son Stacy Laws; brother Will Brown; sisters Debbie Brown all of Grassy fork and Rosie Brown (Wayne) Coffman of Kingsport. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, May 10, 2023 in the Costner-Maloy & Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tinker Clark officiating. The family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Green-Laws Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. interment. The family will receive friends form 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Costner-Maloy & Brown Funeral Home prior to the service.
