Charles S. “Charlie” Newman, Jr., age78, of Greeneville, formerly of Dandridge, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, February 4, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathaleen Newman, parents, Charles Newman, Sr and Audra Clinton Newman, four brothers, and three sisters, son-in-law, Dewey Banks, and stepdaughter, June Coffey.
He is survived by Judy Newman, mother of his five children, Fredia (Todd) Repine, Debbie Banks, Pam (Randy) Fleming, Cheryl (Mark) Parrott, and Tina (Chad) Layman, brothers, George and James Newman, sisters, Roberta Dalton and Roweena Davis, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, step children, Karen (Mike) Miller, Linda (Shaun) McWilliams, Lisa (Tim) Sprouse, Betty (Brian) Hensley, Mike (Clarissa) Coffey, David (Cynthia) Coffey, several step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Brown Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 7:00pm. Burial will take place Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 2:00pm in the Dandridge Memorial Gardens.
In accordance with CDC guidelines, everyone planning to attend services is urged to practice social distancing and wear face coverings.
