Miss. Chelsey LaShay Williamson's Obituary
Miss. Chelsey LaShay Williamson, age 24, of Newport went to be with Jesus on January 21, 2015 at UT Medical Center.
She was a member of Cosby Missionary Baptist Church.
She enjoyed boxing, bluegrass music, white water rafting and spending time with Riley Dale Grooms her special little cousin.
Chelsey was preceded in death by her grandparents Lula Markley and Raymond Markley and uncle Mitch Markley.
She is survived by her parents Jim and Charlene Williamson of Newport; sister Angelia (Danny) Boivin of Fayetteville, NC; fiance Trevor Wilds of Newport; grandparents Cleo and Dean Williamson of Newport; nephews Deavan and Deagan Boivin and niece Bianca Boivin all of Fayetteville, NC; cousins Jocelyn, Jacie and Jaylie York, Monica Hommel, Casey Hicks, Keith Hicks, Derick Markley and Jake Markley all of Newport, Heather Steele of Church Hill and Sheree Marley Rayfield of Sevierville aunts Tine (Robert) Hicks, Anita (Steve) York, Amy (Ricky) Grooms and Reba (Gerald) Valentine; uncles Ray Markley and Donnie Costner all of Newport. Additional survivors include special friends Tanya Cooper, Jackie Freeman and Sharon Spencer.
The funeral service will be held 2:00pm Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Cosby Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Martin and Steven Swann officiating. Interment will be in Raines-Stuart Cemetery. The casket will lie in state at the church from 1:00-2:00pm prior to service.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00pm Saturday evening, January 24, 2015 at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
