Obituary
Claude W. Campbell, age 80, of Newport, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Elsie Campbell, , brothers, Ed, Lloyd, Hobart, A.J., and Tommy Campbell, and sisters, Aileen Martin and Elizabeth Campbell.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley Barnes Campbell, daughters, Lisa (Terry) Black, and Glenda McSween (Francine Barron), grandchildren, Carty (Caroline) McSween, Logan (Haley Preston) and Abbey Black, great grandchild, Lucy Jean McSween, sisters, Georgia Clark and Mildred Baker, several nieces , nephews, and other family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff of Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice and Newport Health and Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 22, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm at Brown Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service held Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11:00am at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a memorial donation to a charity of your choice.
