Clyde L. Grant, age 80, of Newport, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 at UT Medical Center. He was a member of Wilsonville Baptist Church and a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife Grace Grant of Newport, brother-in-law Jack Orr (Dorothy) of Virginia, daughter Patricia Mullins (George) of Cleveland, OH, grandchildren Crystal Crider and Randy Crider both of Cleveland, OH, great-granddaughter Breanna Kurtz of Cleveland, OH, special nieces and nephews Billy and Eula Mae Holt, Tammy Webb, and James and Kathy Holt all of Newport along with his very special church family and extended family and friends.Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 15, 2012 in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Blanchard officiating. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2012 at Resthaven Memorial Garden with military honors. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.Brown Funeral Home is honored to serve the Grant family.
