Darrell S. Hayes, age 33, of Newport, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017.He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Paul Hayes and Coy Hickey and aunt, Deanie Hickey.He is survived by his son, Phoenix Hayes of Virginia, father, Paul Erwin Hayes of Newport, mother, Loretta Han of Morristown, grandmothers, Rita Hayes and Wilma Hickey, brother, Mitch (Katie) Metcalf of Jefferson City, aunts, Melita (Scott) Faulkner and Leta Hickey, and a host of extended family and friends.The family will receive friends Friday, April 28, 2017 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 7:00pm with Pastor Greg Ellison officiating.Brown Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hayes family.
