Mr. David H. Sutton
04/04/1953 – 09/19/2024
Mr. David H. Sutton, age 71, of Newport, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday morning, September 19, 2024.
He was a charter member of Unity Baptist Church, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter Sophie Reid; parents Otis and Linda Sutton; brothers LeRoy, Johnny and Jim Sutton; sisters Stella Mae, Elsie and Delsi Sutton and Elizabeth Lunsford.
Survivors include his wife Joan Sutton and grandson Stephen Phillips both of the home; daughter Christy (Tim) Lloyd; grandchildren Addie (Jordan) Reid, Daniel (Faith) Phillips, Jonah Lloyd; great-grandchildren Luna and Aurora Reid and David Phillips; sisters Mary Carrell Sage, Cordelia Shell, Ann (Roy) Phillips and Doris (Amos) Bell; brother Mike (Sandra) Sutton; sister-in-law Mary (Terry) Napier: brother-in-law David “JD” (Lavonda) Clevenger. Additional survivors include several nieces including special nieces Sarah Eldridge, and Beth (Wayne) Peavler, nephews including special nephews Jonathan (Alisha) James and Kristoffer (Kalsea) Sutton, cousins and friends.
The family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2024 at Union Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m. graveside service with Pastor Michael Allen, Mike Sutton and Deacon Shannon Shelton officiating.
