Eddie Jay Campbell, age 53, of Newport, went to be with the Lord and to join his Mom and Dad along with his Mamaw and Papaw on Friday, January 27, 2012. He attended the Centerview Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Freddie Campbell and Nancy Minard Campbell. Grandparents: Theodore and Beulah Campbell as well as David and Fern Ladd Minard. Survivors include his brothers, Freddie David "Chicken Man" and wife Kathy Grice Campbell of Dandridge. Dwayne "Peadore" and wife Serita Taylor Campbell of White Pine. Sister, Kim Campbell McGaha and husband Chuck McGaha of Parrottsville. He leaves behind nephews Jackie Keller of Indiana, Mathew Campbell and wife Regenia of Kingsport, and Rhett Campbell of White Pine. A special cousin Patty Appleby of Glendale, Arizona. There are many other family, friends, and neighbors. Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Johnson, Reverend Eddie Gray and the Reverend Charlie Ottinger. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. The family will receive from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 prior to the services at the funeral home. The family request that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Newport Animal Shelter, 420 Humane Way, Newport, Tennessee, 37821.Brown Funeral Home is honored to serve the Campbell family.
