Mrs. Edith Reece's Obituary
Mrs. Edith Reece, age 81, of DelRio, passed away Tuesday morning, September 25, 2012, at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.
Edith attended Unity Baptist Church and Cave Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Reece, parents Fred and Grace Dockery, brother Luther (Glenna) Dockery, sister Zona (Jim) Craig, and nephew Alan Craig.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Bobby and Janiece Reece of Dandridge. Billy and Carolyn Reece of Parrottsville, and Freddy and Doris Reece of DelRio, daughter and son-in-law Patsy and Gary Shelton of Hartford, grandchildren Robby (Brandi) Reece and Ben (Tammy) Reece, all of White Pine, Melissa (Aaron) Proffitt of Newport, Brad (Rachel) Reece and Dexter Reece, all of Parrottsville, and Shannon (Tara) Shelton of Newport, great grandchildren Colby Reece, Weston Reece, Daegan Shelton, Elijah Shelton, Reece Proffitt, Kaylyn Proffitt, and Braidyn Reece, her brother and her sister’s children Steve, Diane, Helen, Thelma, Charolette, Linda, and Valerie.
Additional survivors include a host of special cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Suggs officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 pm Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
