Mrs. Emma J. Boley's Obituary
Emma Jean Boley, age 88, of Newport, Tennessee passed away peacefully at her home Thursday morning, March 3, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Leroy Ramsey and Zola Costner.
Emma was a graduate of Saint Mary's School of Nursing. She worked at Valentine Shults Clinic until it's closing and became the Head Nurse of Ambulatory Surgery Department at Baptist Hospital of Newport until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years Don Boley and a son Christopher Boley.
Mrs. Boley leaves behind a daughter Kim (John) Whitmore of Johnson City and a daughter Alicia Stinson of the home; grandchildren Jodi Holland of Mascot, Tennessee, Chris Whitmore of Johnson City, Emily Stinson of Del Rio and Tyler Stinson of Dandridge; great granddaughter Truleea Stinson of Dandridge. She will also be missed by Scott Stinson and Mackenzie Stewart.
The family would like to thank Smoky Mountain Hospice for their excellent care.
Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. Saturday. March 5, 2022 at Union Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m. graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in her name to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
In consideration of the health and safety of all those attending the service, Costner-Maloy strongly encourages that all CDC guidelines be followed, including the use of face masks.
