Mrs. Eva Gates' Obituary

Mrs. Eva Gates, age 89, of Hartford, passed away Friday afternoon, December 6, 2024 at Tennova North Medical Center.
Eva went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Pigeon Valley Baptist Church. Eva was known to the community for her love of her family and love of making quilts.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Gates; parents Dave and Katie Bullington; sisters Aileen, Ruth, Nola, Ellen, Sally, Flora, Lou and Carolyn: and a brother Arthur Bullington.
She is survived by her children Edward Gates and Wayne (Patricia) Gates; grandchildren Elizabeth and David; great-grandchildren Declan and Madilynn and her honorary great-granddaughter Chloe Shelton. Additional survivors include many nieces, nephews and friends including special friends Mike and Karen Ogle, Shannon Phillips and Agnes Cates.
In lieu of flowers, at Eva’s request, donations are to be made to Pigeon Valley Baptist Church in Hartford for the care of Clark Cemetery.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Clark Cemetery (Hartford) for the 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
