Eva Josephine Willis Green, age 92, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Nelson Green, son-in-law Ted A. Nixon Sr., brother Everett Willis, sisters Emmalee Willis Reese, Mary Lou Willis Lord, Pauline Willis Kuykendall.Survivors include her daughters Rita Green Nixon and Jeannie Green LeFebvre both of Baton Rouge, LA., grandchildren Ted A. Nixon Jr. (Darla), Nelson M. Nixon, Nickii Nixon Helouin (Dr. Brent Helouin) all of Baton Rouge, LA and Dr. Joszi Aldridge of Shreveport, LA., great-grandchildren Brent Joseph Helouin Jr., Martin Montgomery Helouin, Teddy Alexander Helouin, Carleigh Angelica Helouin, brother George Willis, sister Louetta Willis Payne both of Greenville, SC., sister Iowa Willis Grigsby of Newport.Graveside service will be 11a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Clark Cemetery-Deep Gap. The family will receive friends from 10a.m. - 11a.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home. Brown Funeral Home is honored to serve the Green family.
