Mr. Frank DeMaio's Obituary
DeMaio, Frank 08/15/12; Died suddenly of natural causes at age 64. Frank was born in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from high school, Frank served his country in the US Navy. He then went on to work in the family sanitation business in New York. After relocating to Florida, Frank went into the transportation and livery vehicle business where he spent 23 years as both manager and owner. He was a well--known and respected member in the Broward County community. After selling his business, he retired to Cosby, Tennessee. At heart, Frank was a loving, passionate person who had a way of making people laugh. He is predeceased by his parents, Gennaro (Jim) & Anna DeMaio. He is survived by his wife Kaye, and extended family members in Tennessee, son Gennaro (Jim) & wife Lea and two grandsons Gennaro and Dominic of New Paltz, NY; along with extended family members Lisa Francis and Karen Lloyd of Fort Lauderdale; sister, Grace Antonello of Fort Lauderdale, and nieces Laura Wirth and Donna Antonello, and great nieces and nephews. A memorial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 1500 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale on Thursday, August 30th at Noon. In lieu of flowers please make donations to American Cancer Society.
