Mr. George R. Hicks

Mr. George Ray Hick, age 86, of Newport passed away Wednesday evening, October 18, 2023 at Newport Health and Rehabilitation.
He was preceded in death by daughters Deb Hicks and Angel Thompson; sons Ray Hicks and Ed Hicks; parents; five sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife Jenne Hicks; daughters Janie McGaha, Lynn Colley, Tammy Garver, Gina (Vic) Vance, Sissy Thompson, LaShannon Wilson, and a son Jesse (Rachelle) Ashby. Additional survivors include several grandchildren, including Michael Ray, Adam (Michel) Ray, Ben Thompson, Steve Hicks, Dawn Hicks and Jennifer (Ricky) Shephard whom was loved like a daughter, Stone Wilson, Zeke (Krista) Thompson and Patrick Hurst; great-grandchildren Aiden, Elijah, Addie, Jesslyn, Layton and Tucker and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2023 at Union Cemetery for the 1:00 p.m. graveside service with Pastor Bobby Phillips officiating.
