Ms Gladys Jane Hembree's Obituary
Ms. Gladys Jane “Martha” “TuTu” Hembree, age 75, of Newport, passed away Friday afternoon, February 3, 2023 at U.T Hospital in Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by momma Maybelle Hembree; dad and step-mom John and Val Hembree; grandparents Cephus and Jane Brown; aunts Rockie Brown, Jessie (Bernard) Barnes and Nola (Edward) Daniels; uncles Bill (Ada) Brown and Floyd Brown; cousins Eulas Barnes, Eddie Daniels and Larry Daniels and nephew-in-law Jimmie Naillon.
Survivors include her sisters Linda (Dan) Mullens of Newport and Bonnie Barnes of Dandridge; niece Christy Naillon of Newport; nephew Randy Barnes of Dandridge; great-nieces Destinee (Joe) Corley of Cosby and Montana (Andrew) Sluss of Dandridge; great-nephew Kenny Lewis of Newport; great-great-nieces Christina Lewis and Jasmine Lewis both of Newport; cousin Wayne Daniels of GA and very special friends Charlie Ruble and Georgia Clark both of Newport.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, February 8, 2023 in the Costner-Maloy & Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Turner officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday morning at Barnes Valley Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. interment. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Costner-Maloy & Brown Funeral Home prior to the service.
