Mrs. Gwendolyn Gregg
12/16/1935 – 02/01/2025
Mrs. Gwendolyn Lucille Mooneyham Gregg, age 89, of Newport, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, February 1, 2025.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was unwavering in her devotion to her faith and family, and was a steady force of strength and love and truly was a virtuous woman. She was a member of Dutch Bottoms Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Paul S. Gregg; daughter Melissa (Missy) Gregg and granddaughter Brandy Nicole Gray.
Survivors include her sons Roger (Royce Ann) Gregg and Gary (Lisa) Gregg; daughters Vanessa Coggins (fiancé Darrell Sutton), Sonya (Steve) Schrock and Marquitta Gass; grandchildren Sherry (Chad) Banks, Stephanie (Robert) James, Garren Gregg, Tavian Weeks, Brittany Fraley, Whittney (Jeff) Owens, Jeffery Gass and Kaley Gregg; great grandchildren Austin Banks Ashlyn Banks, Ameilya Banks, Katie James, Sierra James, Waylon James, Chloey Freshour, Eli Wilson, Madison Bryant, Gabby Gass, Ryder Gass, Zach Gregg and Khai Gregg.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, February 5, 2025 at Dutch Bottoms Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Strange and Rev. Franklin Wine officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Union Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. interment.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church prior to the funeral service.
