Harold Spencer Johnson, 67, of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. Spencer was born January 5, 1950 in Jefferson City, TN to Harold and Gladys Johnson. He graduated from Cocke County High School in 1967 and then served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a B.S. in Agriculture in 1973. He worked as Dairy Regional Sales Manager for Curtiss Breeding Service. He was employed at Cocke County CO-OP and managed his farm in Jefferson County. Spencer was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Gladys Johnson. Spencer is survived by his children Nathan (Dana) Johnson of Madison, WI, Isaac (Andrea) Johnson of Fairview, NC, and Anna Johnson of Dayton, TN; his sister Victoria Johnson of Newport, TN; and five grandchildren Caleb, Mark, Aaron, Micah, and Luke. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 9:00am-10:30am at Brown Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Union Cemetery.Brown Funeral Home is honored to serve the Johnson family.
