Iris Lovell, 95, of Newport, TN, died on February 24, 2015 at Jefferson County Nursing Home in Dandridge, TN.Iris was family oriented and a believer in Christ, who attended St. Tide Baptist Church.She was known and loved by so many for her kind words, caring heart, numerous gardens, beautiful flowers, and delicious culinary dishes. Iris spent most of her life caring for others- offering a helping hand to those who are unable to help themselves. From this, she found joy.She was preceded in death by her parents, Bradley and Mamie Thomas and brothers, Harold and Willard Thomas.She is survived by her son, Terry Lovell(Debbie); granddaughter, Allison Lovell; great granddaughter, Ty Gibson; sister and best friend, Lotus Thomas; nephews, Mike(Theresa) Thomas and Doug Thomas.Family will receive friends from 5pm-7pm Thursday, February 26, 2015 in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral will be held at 7pm with Rev. Zane Stuart officiating.
