Mr. Jack R. Caldwell

Mr. Jack Rupert Caldwell, age 82, of Del Rio, passed away peacefully, at his home on Wednesday morning, July 31, 2024.
He served 12 years of active duty in the Army and 20 years in the National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Caldwell; sisters Betty Jo Shelton and Lillie McGaha Rathbone and brothers Robert Caldwell, Johnnie Caldwell and Carl Caldwell.
Survivors include his brother Julius Caldwell; sisters Lois Jones, Mary Danna and Judy Taylor. Additional survivors include numerous nieces and nephews and special grandchildren of the heart, Larry Manos, Joshua Manos, Ashley Stuart and Addison Stuart.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday evening, August 2, 2024 in the Costner-Maloy & Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Caldwell officiating. Family and friends will meet at a.m. 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Clark Cemetery (Deep Gap) for the 10:00 a.m. interment. Military Honors will be provided by Newport American Legion Post 41. The family will receive friends from 4:00p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday evening prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, small U.S. flags can be placed on his gravesite or donations can be made to Clark Cemetery in memory of Mr. Jack Caldwell.
