Rev. James L Fisher's Obituary
Rev. James L. “J.L.” Fisher, age 80, of Bybee, entered his Heavenly home on Wednesday Morning January 4, 2023 at Life Care Center of Morristown.
He was surrounded by his wife, sister, daughter and son-in-law as he left this world behind. He was born on June 16, 1942 and spent the majority of his life with his wife Dola. This year they would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. J. L. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend. He lived his life for the Lord and shared the love of Jesus with everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Doris Mae Fisher; daughter-in-law Cindy Fisher; granddaughter Rebecca Pruitt; parents J P and Culla Mae Fisher; brothers Bobby Fisher and Charles (Shirley) Fisher and nephew Buddy Fisher.
He will be lovingly missed by his wife Dola Fisher; children Connie Fisher, Teresa (Tom) Rogalla and James “Bufford” Fisher; grandchildren Jenni (Dustin) Seal, Toshia (Tyler) Etherton, Kimber (Logan) Wright and Allison (Jesse) Orrick; great-grandchildren Joshua Seal, Caleb Seal, Gage Wright and Elias Etherton; sisters Janice (ED) Jenkins, Della (Carroll) Hoaglan and Barbara (Terry) James. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
What a legacy! What a life! We invite each of you to keep J.L. Fisher alive in your hearts. This is not goodbye, but see you soon.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Stokelys Chapel Baptist Church Memorial Garden with Rev. Tim Pruitt officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
