Brother Jimmy, of all the people I met during my sojourn in the mountains and in the holiness faith, you were the truest example of a Christian I ever knew. Meek, humble and kind of heart, you were the real thing. I’m thankful for the little time that I did get with you. I’ll never forget you elder. See you on the other side.
I loved my brother Jimmy, I’m sad and broken hearted that he’s gone from this earth, but happy knowing I will see him again in Heaven ❤️ Last time we talked on the phone he would say well by , Brother it’s by for now until we meet again ❤️

Our family has such high regard for you and Jimmy. You both have brought so much joy and love to this community. Any time we have seen you, you had good news to share.
We were so excited to buy two of Jimmy’s Abraham Lincoln dolls. They were real treasures to us, and our daughter was very proud to give them to law school professors who recognized their great value. Jimmy was delighted to “school” Appalachian State students in mountain arts.
He always brought a great smile, good will, and love to us all.

I met Jimmy in October 22.

So sorry to hear about Jimmy ; I just talked to him a few weeks ago . He would tell me who’s was kin to who; that we were related . He was so smart on the History of Newport . My thoughts and prayers are with his wife Pam.
I got acquainted with Jimmy and Pam as they visited Newport Health and Rehabilitation for many years during my tenure. I learned to love both of them and Jimmy liked teasing me. Both were wonderful people. So sorry for your loss dear Pam. Doris Douglas
