Mr. James "Tim" Timothy Parker's Obituary
Mr. James “Tim” Parker, age 57, of Newport, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019 at his home after a long battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his father Lonnie Parker Sr.; brothers Arthor Parker and Lonnie Parker Jr.
Survivors include his wife Sandra Parker of the home; children T.C. Parker, E.J. Parker, Dustin (Ronda) Parker, Tyler Parker all of Newport and Tisha (Jeremy) Joyce of Kodak; grandchildren Emily, Cole, Ronny Jade, Liberty Parker and Gabe Joyce; mother Maggie Parker; father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles and Betty Samples; brother Roy Parker; sisters Ellie Parker and Barbara Campbell all of Newport and Tessie Poddum of Detroit, Michigan; brother-in-law Dale (Shelia) Sprouse of White Pine. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including special friends Charles Nichols, Snapper (Stephanie) Webb, and special buddies Tayler, Shaine, and Levi Webb.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice.
The funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2019 in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Ball officiating. T.C. Parker, E.J. Parker, Dustin Parker, Tyler Parker, Jeremy Joyce and Snapper Webb will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday morning at New Home Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. interment.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Costner-Maloy prior to the service.
The family request that donations be made to Costner-Maloy Funeral Home to help cover the final expense.
