Mr. Jerry L. Shelton
12/13/1954 – 02/07/2025
Mr. Jerry Lee Shelton, age 70, of Hartford, passed away Friday morning, February 7, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rev. Johnny Shelton and Trudy Arrington Shelton; sister Reva Sparks and a brother Mark Shelton.
Survivors include his wife Vanessa Arrington Jones Shelton of the home; daughters Gerri S. Shelton (Chris Hendrix) and Christy (David) Holmes; step-sons David Wendell Jones Jr and Charles Cody Dean Jones; grandchildren Autumn Rose Burns, Oliver Shelton Holmes, Ava Leigh Holmes, Mason Jones and Anderson Jones; sisters Bertha (Joe) Johnston and Angie (Rocky) Self; brothers Clinton (Irene) Shelton, Roger Shelton and Gary (Patsy) Shelton and a special brother-in-law Benny Sparks. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday evening, February 10, 2025 at Sand Hill Church of God in Jesus Name, 357 S. Hwy, 107, Del Rio, TN 37727, with Pastor Tommy Ball and Brother Trenton Dunn officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Shelton Cemetery, 2170 Holly Mtn. Way, Hartford, TN 37753, for the 10:00 a.m. interment.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday at the church prior to the service.
