Jettie Sue Webb Gunter, age 78 of Cosby, peacefully departed for her Heavenly home on Thursday, December 30, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband, JC Gunter; parents, Arlie & Alice Webb; sisters, Marie Phillips, Bobbie “Janella” Baxter Haner, & Bonnie Lou Webb; brothers, Keith Webb & John Benny Webb; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Webb, Karen “Sue” Hall, Betty Gunter, & Ruby Gunter; brothers-in-law, Clemmon Phillips, Bruce Baxter, Cash Rollins, Leon Hunt, Y.J. Gunter, David Gunter, Charles Gunter, & Larry Gunter.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammie (Mark Job) Gunter; sons, Robert Gunter, & Roger (Sonja) Gunter; grandchildren, Dusty (Erica) Gunter, Kyle (Katrina) Gunter, & Paige Gunter; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh & Dawson Gunter; sisters, June Wilson, Janie (Gary) Cody, Gona (Ed) Jenkins, & Kathy Brown; brothers, Ray “Dago” Webb, Luther “Bud” (Thelma) Webb, Eugene (Francis) Webb, Eulas Webb, & Charles (Penny) Webb; sisters-in-law, Barbara Hunt, Carolyn Rollins, Gail Black, Phyllis Gunter, & Phyllis (Cecil) Whitson; brothers-in-law, Terry (Debbie) Gunter & John Hall; aunt, Geneva Ball; and numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5PM to 7PM on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will take place at 11AM Thursday, January 6, 2022 in the Tritt Cemetery, located inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Cosby.
