Mr. John Ed “Ben” Sherwood

Mr. John Ed “Ben” Sherwood, age 78, of White Pine, passed away 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2024, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
Ben enjoyed life’s simple pleasures such as fishing and being mechanical. He brought joy into our lives with his kind heart, sense of humor, and warm smile. He attended French Broad Baptist Church, Dandridge, TN.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Sherwood; parents Robert and Eva Sherwood; sisters Gertrude Harris and Frances Wilson; brothers Junior, J.W. and Gene Sherwood.
Survivors include a sister, Effie Eason of Delaware; brother-in-law Millard Wilson of Maryville and caregiver and special friend Helen Hanawa of White Pine.
Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Helen Hanawa his care-giver of 11 years.
Family and friends will meet at 11:45 for the 12:00 p.m. graveside service Friday May 31, 2024 at French Broad Baptist Church Cemetery with Millard Wilson and Pastor David Walker officiating.
