Mr. Johnny N. "Briar" Shults' Obituary
Mr. Johnny Newell Shults, age 86, of Cosby, passed away Tuesday morning, October 24, 2017 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Shults, sons Rodney Shults and Eston Costner, parents Vicie and Patton Shults, sister and brother-in-law Norma and Burnette Gregg, niece Robin Shults, nephew Marty Shults and great-nephew John Patton Gregg.
Survivors include his grandchildren Samantha and Danny Ray Reece, and Tyler Shults, great-grandsons Samuel Reece and Daniel Reece, sister Annette Mason, brothers and sisters-in-law Bob and Sue Shults and Gene and Margie Shults, nieces and nephews Steve, Diane and Melissa Gregg, Tammy Gorrell, Patty Jenkins, Brittany Stooksbury, Quindell and Shelia Shults. Additional survivors many special friends including Roger Barnes, Jan and John Sloan, Linda English, Juanita, Ralph, Benji and Lindsey, Lesa Bryan, Maddie Allen, Faye and Wayne Bice and everyone at Allen's Missionary Baptist Church and the Stonebrook Community.
Family and friends will meet at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Marty Shults Cemetery for a 4:00 p.m. Graveside service with Rev. Leon Large officiating.
