Mr. Joshua Matthew Parks' Obituary
Mr. Joshua Matthew Parks, age 37, of Parrottsville, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
He was an achieved houndman, avid bear and coon hunter. Lover of the great outdoors. He loved working with his hunting dogs, cattle and his loved bassett hounds, Hustler and Honeybee. He was a member of the Hard Core Bear Hunting Club and was loved by all who knew him.
Survivors include his father Daniel Parks (Mitzi) of Morristown; mother ShaRon Ottinger (Russell) of Parrottsville; brother Bryant Ottinger of Newport; uncles and aunts Steve Parks and Teresa Parks of Newport, Johnny and Linda Smith, Andy and Celia Smith of Mosheim, Lynn and Lula Jean Hartsell, Vickie and David Wilson all of Parrottsville, Susie Wilson and the late Reece Wilson of Newport, Joy Rednour of Mosheim, Ginny and Larry Crum of Limestone, Lois and Harold Styles of Jonesboro. Additional survivors include a very special niece Alivia Ottinger of Newport, several cousins, the Hard Core Bear Club of Parrottsville and special extended family and friends.
Family and friends will meet 1:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, January 18, 2022 at Faubion Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m. graveside service with Pastor Scott Childs and Rev. Rick Carr officiating.
