Mrs. Lois T. Miller's Obituary
Mrs. Lois Thelma (Buchanan) Miller, born April 21, 1929 passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 at her home.
She was a member of Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church, Dandridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Vina Buchanan, husband Wendell Miller and a daughter Shirley Miller Belcher Webb, brother James H. Buchanan, Sammuel P. Buchanan Jr, Franklin D. Buchanan.
She is survived by her children Jerry (Nancy) Buchanan of Sarasota, Florida, Diane (Jim) Fine, Kathie Miller and Steve (Barbara) Miller all of Newport, Roy (Jennifer) Miller of Knoxville.She was also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren,and great great grandchildren, sister Ruby Faye Wheeler of Newport. Finally, she had several nieces and nephews along with a special friend and caretaker Karen Kay Henry and many loving and caring friends.
She has battled a lingering illness for several years. However, she never gave up hope or shared her burdens. She always made everyone else feel special. She was the one who kept the family "balanced."
The Lord called her home on Saturday. Her body was worn and it was time for her to rest. However, in her last words, she was thinking of others, when she said, "Tell them all bye and I lo...."
The funeral service will be held at 7:00pm Tuesday evening September 30, 2014 in the Costner-Maloy Home Chapel.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 Wednesday October 1, 2014 at Union Cemetery for the 11:00am interment.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Tuesday September 30, 2014 at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home prior to service.
