Mrs. Lucille Barnes Davis' Obituary
Mrs. Lucille Barnes Davis, age 80, of Cosby went to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, June 29, 2010, at Life Care Center in Morristown, TN.
She retired from Baptist Hospital of Cocke County in 1994 where she worked as an RT Tech for 24 years.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was a devoted member of Caney Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Horace Davis, daughter Catherine Frazier, grandson Bobby Johnson, parents Loyd and Lora Barnes, and brother Clifford Barnes.
She is survived by her children Darlene (James) Shults, Leslie Davis (Michael), Patsy Davis, and Howard (Polly) Davis; grandchildren Jessica Davis, Russell Davis, Leah Messer, Hannah Jones, and Christie Black; great-grandchildren Micayla Black, Elijah Black, Josia Messer, Justin Messer, and Donavan Johnson; sisters Ruby Shults, Voneda Styles, and Beulah (Richard) Harer; brother Robert (Lucille) Barnes; several nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2010, in Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harmon Willis and Rev. Raymond D. Collins officiating.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at the Sutton Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. interment.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home prior to the services.
