Marie Huff Lancaster of Newport passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019.
A lifelong homemaker, she was born on September 17, 1924.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Norman Huff and Nannie Lou O’Dell Huff; husband, Clarence Lancaster; daughter, Linda Sue Lancaster; five grandsons; and nine siblings, Sallie Taylor, an infant boy, James Norman Huff, Jr., Lucy Hurst, Roy Huff, O’Dell Huff, Buddy Huff, Charles Huff, & Barnett Huff.
She is survived by eight children, Evelyn Long (Bill Gilliam), Reva D. Buckner, Clarence (Mary) Lancaster, Jaynie Valentine, David Lancaster (Tammy Lily), Marilyn Lancaster, William (Barbara) Lancaster, and Nancy (Dwane) Powers; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 1:00PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM with Pastor Mitchell Woodson officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
