Mrs. Martha R. Boyer

Mrs. Martha Rita Boyer, age 84, of Newport, passed away Saturday morning, August 3, 2024 at Newport Convalescent Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Boyer; parents Robert and Mary McFalls; sisters Lucy Clark, viola Messer, Grace Brown, Georgia Kennedy, Zola Spence and Frances Henry and brothers John McFalls, Herbert McFalls, Stewart McFalls and Leonard McFalls.
Survivors include her granddaughter Jody Marshall of Michigan; sister Lucille Jarnigan of Dallas, NC; nieces Gaylynne (Randy) Ball of Cosby, Mary (Stephen) Peavy, Angie Garland and Glenda Hicks all of North Carolina and a nephew Robert Spence of Cosby. Additional survivors include several other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a very special German Shepherd named Shadow.
The family would like to express a special thank you to The Staff of Newport Convalescent Center and Sherry Campbell for all their love and care.
The family will host a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
