Mrs. Mattie Ruth M. Suggs

Mrs. Mattie Ruth Miller Suggs, of Parrottsville, passed away August 5, 2023, at the age of 85, after a few years of declining health.
She was of the Baptist Faith and a Charter Member of Memorial Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Suggs; son Kevin T. Suggs; parents Lee Roy and Zella Miller; a sister and a brother.
Survivors include her children Pam (Robert) Flowers of Bybee, Melanie (John) Eslinger and Kim (John B.) Strange all of Newport and Keith (Clarissa) Suggs of Parrottsville; grandchildren Jonathan, Curtis, Rebecca, Amy, Jennifer, Jessica, Megan, Logan, Savannah, Aubrie, Ireland, Kullen and Kaben; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother Jim (Mary) Miller of Ohio. Additional survivors include several nieces including special niece Mildred Rader, nephews and special friend Tammy Trent.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Newport Health and Rehabilitation and Gentiva Hospice for their care and compassion and to Costner-Maloy & Brown for their services.
A private service will be held at a later date.
