Ms. Nancy Inez Ottinger Carpenter

Ms. Nancy Inez Ottinger Carpenter, age 91, passed away on Saturday, November 16th.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Campbell. She also leaves behind her nephews and nieces, who lovingly nicknamed her “Auntie” and she loved them like they were her own children: David O’Dell of Knoxville, Karen O’Dell Kelley of Newport, Wendy Ottinger of Kodak; great -nephew Jason Wood; great- nieces Brittany Ottinger and Brooklyn Samples; great-great nieces Jaleeana Rose Wood and London Ottinger. She has many beloved cousins from the Ottinger and Gray lineages. She is also survived by her adopted family: the wonderful nurses and staff of the Newport Tennova Convalescent Center, who took phenomenal care of her and made her feel safe and loved during her final 15 months of life. Your dedicated care gave the family extra time with her and gave her an additional quality of life. The family appreciates you more than words can ever express. Additional survivors include special friends Marcia Frazier and Charlotte Leibrock who delighted her with their visits and yummy treats. She also leaves behind her feline fur baby, Rusty.
The family would like to extend an extra special thank you to Amedysis Home Health and Hospice for all their supportive care, you were there for her in some of her darkest hours during her sickness.
Per her prearranged wishes, there will be no services.
