Parvel L. Gudger Sr's Obituary
Mr. Parvel "Tony" Gudger Sr., age 49, of Parrottsville went to be with the Lord Wednesday August 20,2014 at UT Hospital.
He was born August 27, 1964 in White Pine, Tn. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, nephew and friend. Tony graduated from Cocke County High School in 1982. He served his country for two years in the Army and also served in the National Guard.
He was a member of Allens Chapel Baptist Church and he was employed at Price Less Foods in Newport.
Mr. Gudger was preceded in death by his mother Martha Bea Gudger.
He is survived by his son and daughter in law Parvel Jr. and Sandra Gudger of Newport; grandchildren Julian and Keyona Messer, Hailey Gudger, Cody Merrel and Andrew Hoag all of Newport; daughter Mia Gudger of Morristown; sister and brother in law Tracy and Alan Moore;nieces Jhasta Tack and Adonia Adams all of Knoxville; Additional survivors include his aunt Annette Story, family friend Marvin Woods and many cousins.
The funeral service will be 1:00p.m. Tuesday August 26, 2014 in Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Bragg officiating. Interment will be in Faubion Cemetery with military honors provided by The East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00p.m. Tuesday afternoon at Costner-Maloy prior to service.
