Mr. Robert W. Messer's Obituary
Mr. Robert W. Messer, age 76, of Newport, passed away Saturday morning, January 7, 2017 at Newport Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Messer was preceded in death by his mother Sarah Messer; brothers Leonard Messer, J.L. Messer, Roth Lee Messer and Virgil Messer and sister Helen Messer Morgan.
Survivors include his brothers Jerry Messer of Parrottsville and Mitchell Messer of Newport. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Newport Health and Rehabilitation Center Staff.
The funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, January 11, 2017 in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Franklin Wine officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon, January 12, 2017 at Union Cemetery for 2:00 p.m. interment.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Costner-Maloy prior to service.
