Mr. Roger Edward Cameron

Mr. Roger E. Cameron passed away peacefully at his home on November 8, 2024, after battling cancer. He was a member of Lowes Chapel Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for several years until his health declined. He loved farming and his dogs: Waylon, Willie, Peewee, Piper and Shasta.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother Edward and Irene Cameron; sisters Faye Samples and Barbara Seals; brothers-in-law Ed Seals and Charles Hurst and father and mother in-law; Junior and Frances Hurst
Survivors include wife Susan Cameron of Newport, whom he loved very much; sister Sue (Tim) Owens of Parrottsville; brothers-in-law Eddie Samples of Greeneville and Kenny (Brenda) Hurst of Newport, sister-in-law Mary Hurst of Texas. Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews including a special niece Sandra (Dennis) Worley, and special nephew Robert Hurst.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice and caregivers Emma, Taylor, Ellie, Nicole, Leah and also Sonja Hance and the staff of Franklin Medical.
Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, November 13, 2024 at Union Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service with Rev. Dennis Caldwell officiating.
