Mrs. Ruby Mae Gulley's Obituary
Mrs. Ruby Mae Gulley, age 77, of Newport, passed away Saturday evening, February 19, 2022 at her home.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hunley Nelson Gulley; daughter Sandy Sue Gregory; parents Garland and Sarah Green; sister Rose Gregg and brothers Andy Green, Gene Green, Arville Green and Jerry Green.
Survivors include her children Shirley Burns (George), Melissa Davis, Tammy Wood (Eric), Freddy Cody and George “Bubba” Trent all of Newport; grandchildren Jacob Gillespie, Dillon Trent, Josh Trent, Mark McGaha, Matthew McGaha, Mitchel McGaha, Jeannie Shults, George Burns Jr. and Crystal Pritchard; brothers Ira Green and Charles Green both of Jefferson County. Additional survivors include several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, February 23, 2022 in the Costner- Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Ball and Rev. Ronnie Askew officiating. The family and friends will meet at 11:45 a.m. Thursday morning at Bear Creek Cemetery for the 12:00 p.m. interment
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home prior to the service.
In consideration of the health and safety of all those attending service, Costner-Maloy strongly encourages that all CDC guidelines be followed, including the use of face masks.
