Mrs. Shirley Jean Jenkins Gunter's Obituary
Mrs. Shirley Jean Jenkins Gunter, age 46, of Parrottsville, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at her home. Jean will be remembered as an honest and caring person.
She was preceded in death by her mother Virginia J.Jenkins. She is survived by her father; Rev. Fred Jenkins Sr., and his wife Brenda of White Pine, brothers; Fred Jenkins Jr. and his wife Gazelle, David Jenkins and his wife Regina of Parrottsville, and Kenneth Baxter of Dandridge, sisters; Brenda Wyrick and her husband Terry of Louisville, TN, Amanda Thomas and Teresa Collins, both of White Pine, and Cindy Fisher of Dandridge. Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews, and long time friends Richard Grooms and Joyce Holt, both of Newport.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jon Walton officiating. Interment will follow in Faubion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
