Obituary
Sylvia M. Gregg, age 82, of Newport, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh L. Gregg, Jr., parents, Harry and Alice Thompson, grandsons, Joel Thomas Davis and Jonathan Davis, and brother, Hubert Thompson.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia (David) Sams, Randall J. Davis, Jeffery A. (Sue) Davis, and Amy (Rusty) Miller, brothers, Bernard Thompson and Dale Covey, and thirty-two grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 6:00pm at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Davis and Pastor Vince Keeton officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make memorial donations to Newport Health and Rehabilitation Activities Budget or to Grace Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank you” to Newport Health and Rehab for their excellent care.
