Mrs. Thelma Vonda Cook Williams, age 78, of Newport, passed away Thursday morning, October 31, 2024 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Sofina Cook; father-in-law and mother-in-law Bruce and Glennie Williams; brothers Donald Cook and Jimmy Cook; sisters Elizabeth Ward, JoHelen Landers, Ruth Stanley and Georgia Lee Rollins.
Survivors include her husband Chan Williams; Son Dwayne (Debbie) Williams; grandson Lukas Williams; brothers David (Judy) Cook, Johnny (Gail) Cook Leonard (Mary) Cook and Ronnie (Brenda) Cook; brother-in-law Toby (Barbara) Williams, “sis” Sheila Cook and sister-in-law Ida Poe. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to express a special thank you to dear friends, Buddy and Katie Barnett, Smoky Mountain Hospice, especially Leslie and Latisa and the Angels of Indian Hills.
