Turley Anderson "Andy" Butler, 65, Newport, passed away at the Johnson City Medical Center Monday, July 14, 2014.He was a Vietnam Veteran with the US Army. He was retired from the USDA.He was preceded in death by his parents: Ray and Edna Murrell Butler. Sister, Geraldine Ball and brother, Johnny Butler.He is survived by his ex-wife and caregiver, Judith Butler and son Marc Butler both of Newport. Sisters: Charlotte Morton of Newport, Beth Peterson of Rome, GA, Jane (Homer)Cook of Bakersville, NC, and Evelyn Pendergrass of Blountville, TN. Several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held July 15,2014 at 7PM in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dob Swafford officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-7PM prior to funeral. Burial will be July 16,2014 at 10AM at Jenkins Chapel in Cosby .
