Mrs. Vella Mae Sane's Obituary
Mrs. Vella Mae Sane, age 78, of Parrottsville passed away at her home in the Long Creek Community Wednesday, April 6, 2011.
Mrs. Sane was a devoted wife and a loving Mama. She was a life long member of Long Creek Christian Church in Parrottsville.
She was preceded in death by her mother and step father Hattie and Cecil Sane, brother Athan Sane, and sister Margaret Sane.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Johnny Sane, of the home, son Fred Allen Gregg, of Newport, sons and daughters-in-law Ronnie and Shirley Sane, John Paul and Nancy Sane, all of Parrottsville, daughters and sons-in-law Shirley and Larry Messer, Judy and Rick Williamson, all of Newport, and Jamie and Dennis Green of Hot Springs, NC, grandchildren Marla (David) Torgerson, Cynthia (Doug) Holdway, Brad (Judy) Sane, Julie (Justin)Sane, Logan Green, T.J. (Loni) Sane, Skyler Sane, Patrick Dakota Sane, Ryan Williamson, and Shandy Justus, great grandchildren Terri Robinson, Colton Sane, Braylee Sane, Sierra Sane, Landon Sane, Preston Holdway, Cyndal Holdway, Annalisa Justus, and Rickie Justus, sisters Vava Lee Cummings, Mary Daniels, Lucille Sane, Flora Butterworth, and Sylvia Turner, brothers L.V. Sane, Lloyd Sane, Mack Sane, Alton Sane, Lonnie Sane, Ed Sane, and Bill Sane, special sister-in-law Ruth Gregg, special brother-in-law J.D. Sane, special aunt Imogene McCurry. Additioal survivors include several nieces and nephews, including special nephew and niece Rick and Rita Peters, special friends and neighbors Juanita and Fred Lee, Deborah, David, and Tyler Boyd, and Haskell and Wanda Yates.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011, in Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Karl Gasser officiating. Interment will follow in the Sane Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, April 7, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
